Cat artist Sandy Kolod is a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania artist. While in grade school, she was recommended by her teachers to be one of a select few to attend the Carnegie Institute of Art Saturday classes. She maintained honor roll status for her three years there.
She went on to graduate from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a degree in Graphic Design.
Her passion is watercolor and she is daring with the application of the paint. The paintings are deeply saturated with bright and bold color. This is cat art at it's finest!
Her work is available online and in many fine gift shops in Pittsburgh. She has participated in juried shows in PA and Ohio, including a 2-year run at the Three Rivers Art Festival. The "Emily Award" was won by Sandy at the 2008 Salt Fork Art Festival in Ohio.
